Hey, that's an ACR you're talking about. Made from the finest in shitty American metals.

I actually did it in my Audi, and once I had the hang of it I switched to the Neon since the pedals are set up much easier...I figured I'd tackle the harder one first.

Like everyone, I kinda hate neons too. And like anyone who's ever driven one, I have a healthy amount of respect for just how incredibly fun the little shitboxes are to drive.

I bought it when I was 15 as a first car. I found it by accident while looking at an E36 325is with some suspension mods. It was cheap, nearby, and (ALMOST) exactly what I had set as a basic outline for what I wanted in a first car (Cheap to maintain, slow (so I'd get to go through the gears a lot, because shifting FTW) different, interesting, sporty, RWD, 5spd). I went to check it out with my dad and fell in love with it. Looking at it, you really just think "That's it?" but driving it is actually incredible, especially considering the ACR had the customizeable rear shocks and mine are dialed in just right. Its an absolute blast, its a shame to see it go.

Yeah I want to dislike them, but truth be told great handling and driving subcompacts come along like once every 20 years. I think you mean fwd though ;)

Yeah, that was pretty much the only thing on the list that the Neon didn't fulfill as my ideal 1st.

I feel like if they had just taken the time to make it RWD, it would've been legendary. Especially the ACR.

Ahhh got it. I misread your post. The neon is a fantastic first car. As much as I love rwd, it makes you do dumb stuff. And then you're like " but I just spent 800 dollars on tires six months ago and now I need new ones?"
